Michael Jay Wrubel makes everyday kit with an 80s arcade streak: low-top canvas sneakers, crew socks, graphic tees and canvas totes, each printed or knitted with original pixel art.
Our story
How the kit is made
Every pattern in the shop starts as a tiny grid — a heart, a lightning bolt, a coin, an arrow, a joystick, a neon floor running to the horizon. We draw these shapes square by square for this shop rather than borrowing characters from games, so the kit nods to the arcade without copying it.
The goods themselves are plain on purpose. Sneakers are low-top canvas with a white rubber cupsole, socks are a cotton-blend knit with the pattern knitted in, tees are midweight combed cotton jersey and totes are heavyweight cotton canvas. Each one carries a small Michael Jay Wrubel label so you know where it came from.
Orders are packed and handed to the carrier within the handling time shown at checkout, and you can reach us by email on any business day.

What it is made of
- Sneakers: canvas upper with a rubber cupsole and flat cotton laces; the pattern is screen-printed on the side panels.
- Socks: cotton-blend knit crew socks with a ribbed cuff and cushioned sole; the pattern is knitted in, not printed.
- Graphic tees: midweight combed cotton jersey with a ribbed collar; soft-hand water-based screen print.
- Tote bags: heavyweight cotton canvas with two long canvas handles and double-stitched seams.
